Tiger’s eye carries a similar nostalgia for me as hematite.

It was one of the few crystals my dad gave us when we were little, and I grew up knowing it as a stone associated with strength, protection, and courage.

Because of that, I don’t really see tiger’s eye without thinking about childhood. It reminds me of how powerful belief can feel when you’re young. You can hold a tiny stone in your hand and suddenly feel a little braver because someone you trust told you that you are.

I wanted these earrings to carry a little piece of that feeling with them.

Made by Hand

Every piece from bykai is made entirely by hand, one at a time. Because I create intuitively rather than following a pattern, each piece is one of a kind and will not be recreated exactly.

Small variations, irregularities, and imperfections are part of the handmade process and are what make each piece uniquely yours.

Many of my pieces incorporate natural stones, shells, vintage or upcycled elements, and other materials that naturally vary in color, shape, texture, and pattern. I personally select and assemble every element before the finished piece makes its way to you.

There is only one of this piece. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. ♡

Jewelry Care

Your jewelry is handmade and should be treated with a little extra love to help it last as long as possible.

Avoid wearing your jewelry while showering, swimming, sleeping, or exercising. Keep it away from perfumes, lotions, hairspray, household chemicals, and excessive moisture. When you’re not wearing it, store it somewhere cool and dry, preferably separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching or tangling.

Natural stones, ceramic, glass, shells, and beads can chip or break if dropped onto a hard surface, so handle them gently.

Because many pieces use mixed metals, natural materials, vintage, or upcycled components, some metals may naturally change or develop a patina over time. This is a normal part of the material aging and can often be minimized by keeping your jewelry clean and dry.

Treat it like the tiny piece of art that it is.
