These are definitely one of my more rockstar pairs.

I LOVE the texture of lava stone. It’s rough, imperfect, and looks like it carries a little evidence of where it came from.

It also immediately takes me back to my trip to Greece. I remember seeing lava stone jewelry everywhere in the little gift shops, so now whenever I come across it, there’s a tiny piece of my brain that goes straight back there.

Lava stone is often associated with grounding, emotional strength, and the meeting of earth and fire.

I love that something born from such intense heat eventually cools into solid stone. There’s probably a metaphor hiding somewhere in there. 🖤

Made by Hand

Every piece from bykai is made entirely by hand, one at a time. Because I create intuitively rather than following a pattern, each piece is one of a kind and will not be recreated exactly.

Small variations, irregularities, and imperfections are part of the handmade process and are what make each piece uniquely yours.

Many of my pieces incorporate natural stones, shells, vintage or upcycled elements, and other materials that naturally vary in color, shape, texture, and pattern. I personally select and assemble every element before the finished piece makes its way to you.

There is only one of this piece. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. ♡

Jewelry Care

Your jewelry is handmade and should be treated with a little extra love to help it last as long as possible.

Avoid wearing your jewelry while showering, swimming, sleeping, or exercising. Keep it away from perfumes, lotions, hairspray, household chemicals, and excessive moisture. When you’re not wearing it, store it somewhere cool and dry, preferably separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching or tangling.

Natural stones, ceramic, glass, shells, and beads can chip or break if dropped onto a hard surface, so handle them gently.

Because many pieces use mixed metals, natural materials, vintage, or upcycled components, some metals may naturally change or develop a patina over time. This is a normal part of the material aging and can often be minimized by keeping your jewelry clean and dry.

Treat it like the tiny piece of art that it is.
