These are the softer sister to my other mother of pearl pair.

Where the other pair feels a little more rockstar, these feel timeless, delicate, and elegant. I wanted the pearl to be the focus and let its natural glow do most of the talking.

Mother of pearl is associated with calmness, emotional balance, intuition, and a connection to the soothing energy of water and the moon.

There is something about pearls that feels almost moonlike to me. They don’t sparkle loudly. They just quietly catch the light.

Every piece from bykai is made entirely by hand, one at a time. Because I create intuitively rather than following a pattern, each piece is one of a kind and will not be recreated exactly.

Small variations, irregularities, and imperfections are part of the handmade process and are what make each piece uniquely yours.

Many of my pieces incorporate natural stones, shells, vintage or upcycled elements, and other materials that naturally vary in color, shape, texture, and pattern. I personally select and assemble every element before the finished piece makes its way to you.

Your jewelry is handmade and should be treated with a little extra love to help it last as long as possible.

Avoid wearing your jewelry while showering, swimming, sleeping, or exercising. Keep it away from perfumes, lotions, hairspray, household chemicals, and excessive moisture. When you’re not wearing it, store it somewhere cool and dry, preferably separately from other jewelry to prevent scratching or tangling.

Natural stones, ceramic, glass, shells, and beads can chip or break if dropped onto a hard surface, so handle them gently.

Because many pieces use mixed metals, natural materials, vintage, or upcycled components, some metals may naturally change or develop a patina over time. This is a normal part of the material aging and can often be minimized by keeping your jewelry clean and dry.
