These earrings were created as abstract dragonflies, with dark iridescent pearls forming their bodies and freeform silver-toned wire twisting outward into delicate, wandering wings.

Instead of forcing the wire into perfectly identical shapes, I let each line curve, loop, and find its own direction. I named them Stream of Consciousness because they remind me of what thought actually feels like: rarely straight, rarely symmetrical, occasionally chaotic, but somehow connected.

The dragonfly itself adds another layer of meaning. Across different spiritual traditions and modern symbolism, dragonflies have become associated with transformation, adaptability, self-realization, and seeing beyond the surface. Because their iridescent bodies appear to change depending on the light, they’re also often connected to shifts in perspective and the idea that what we see isn’t always the entirety of what is there.

That symbolism felt almost uncannily at home in this collection.

My own experiences with microdosing and psychedelics felt like they opened an entirely new world for me, changing the way I thought about consciousness, perception, spirituality, and even my relationship with myself. Rather than giving me all the answers, those experiences made me infinitely more curious about the questions.

I personally believe psychedelics could be one of the missing pieces in exploring the intersection between science and spirituality, and I want to support legitimate scientific research that helps us better understand that space.

When I decided to donate a portion of this collection, I intentionally chose some of the most unusual and “trippy” pieces I’ve created. Between their wandering wings, iridescent pearls, and the symbolism of the dragonfly, these felt like they belonged here from the beginning.

50% of the proceeds from this piece will be donated to the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research.

The experiences and beliefs shared here are my own and are not intended as medical advice or a recommendation to use psychedelics. This collection is independently created and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Johns Hopkins University or the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research.
