A Happy Little Accident | Hematite Statement Earrings

These earrings are a perfect example of what can happen when you allow yourself to let go of the original plan and simply create.

I had an entirely different vision for these pieces when I started making them. Somewhere along the way, I accidentally made the two components I needed in different sizes.

Instead of starting over, I decided to work with what I had created, and these earrings were born!

What started as a mistake turned into something I never would have envisioned otherwise.

Hematite also holds a very special place in my heart. When I was young, my dad gave me a hematite ring and told me it would protect me from evil. Ever since, I’ve carried a special connection to this stone and the memories attached to it.

Hematite is traditionally associated with grounding and protection, and I love that these earrings carry both that symbolism and a little reminder that sometimes the unexpected leads us somewhere beautiful.

Materials: Hematite beads and stainless steel wire, with silver-tone chain and findings.
